Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Tool Crib Machinist to maintain tooling inventory and support manufacturing operations. You will repair, modify, fabricate, and distribute tools, fixtures, gauges, and machine components to ensure tooling is available and properly maintained for production efficiency and on-time delivery.

Applicants should have 3+ years of CNC machining/tool crib experience, plus a High School diploma and preferred vocational training.

• High School degree preferred; Vocational/Technical CNC training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tooling inventory and support manufacturing operations.
• Repair, modify, fabricate, and distribute tools, fixtures, gauges, and machine components.
• Ensure tooling is available, well maintained and tracked to support production.
• Operates manual machining equipment safely and reads blueprints/ sketches.
• Utilize inspection tools like calipers, micrometers and comparators.

$1000.00 Signing Bonus

Tool Crib Machinist, Manufacturing Pay Range $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (DOE), plus Overtime. M-F 1st shift 5:00am - 1:30pm. Plus Quarterly Bonus's paid.

The Tool Crib Machinist is responsible for maintaining tooling inventory and supporting manufacturing operations through the repair, modification, fabrication, and distribution of tools, fixtures, gauges, and machine components. This role ensures tooling is available, properly maintained, and accurately tracked to support production efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

High School degree (Preferred)

Vocational or Technical Training in CNC Machinist or related field Preferred

3+ years CNC Machinist, tool room, or tool crib required

3+ years Knowledge of cutting tool, machining proceed and tooling applications

Ability to operate manual machining equipment safely and efficiently, examine and analyze blueprints, sketched and computer related files, operating inspection equipment such as caliper, micrometers, heights gages and comparators is required.

Basic computer skills and inventory management experience is preferred.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour , however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is up to 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $58,240 to $86,944. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
