Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems, LLC is seeking a dependable Tool Crib Associate to join our Batavia, Ohio manufacturing team. You will manage tool and material inventories, issue tools to employees, and maintain accurate records to support production.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, computer proficient, and comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior experience with inventory, warehouse operations, tool rooms, or manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in inventory control, tool crib, warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience performing cycle counts is a plus.
• Previous computer-based inventory experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the tool crib, inventory areas, and storage locations.
• Issue and receive tools, equipment, parts, and supplies to employees.
• Maintain accurate records of tools and materials entering and leaving the tool crib.
• Perform regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and report issues to management.
• Enter and update inventory information using computer systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate when items need to be reordered.
• Properly label and organize tools, parts, and supplies for easy identification and access.
• Track company tools and equipment to help prevent loss or misplacement.
• Inspect returned tools and equipment for damage or excessive wear.
• Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, production, and purchasing regarding inventory needs.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing incoming materials.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic inventory records.
• Keep the tool crib clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
