Job summary

Prince Industries Inc. in Titusville, FL is seeking an Inventory and Tooling Associate to manage hand tools, machine tools and equipment. The role involves receiving, recording, reordering items, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a manufacturing setting.

The position operates from 6:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1–3 years of related experience, and strong communication and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence clearly.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for shop tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication and data input skills.
• Familiarity with tooling concepts and basic machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify and record incoming tools and equipment daily.
• Generate purchase requisitions for low inventory items and reorder as needed.
• Report excessive tool usage to supervisor.
• Inspect tools for defects and report wear or damage.
• Issue and receive tools to workers and maintain issuing records.
• Maintain inventory records and conduct cycle counts.
• Prepare monthly inventory reports for supervisor.
• Identify tooling needs using ANSI/ISO nomenclature.
• Complete related paperwork and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Deliver tools or equipment to workers as required.
• Adhere to Prince Industries ISO/QS certifications and safety rules.

Job Summary

Issues, receives, and stores hand tools, machine tools, cams, materials, and other equipment in industrial establishment by performing the following duties regularly.

Shift Hours

6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives, verifies, and records all incoming tools and equipment daily.
• Generates purchase requisitions for low inventory items and requests items to be reordered based on usage.
• Reports potentially excessive item usage to department supervisor.
• Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
• Issues and receives tools and other equipment to workers.
• Maintains records of tools and equipment that are issued and returned.
• Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment while running cycle counts to verify inventory.
• Prepares monthly reports and distributes them to department supervisor (i.e., inventory evaluation report, usage report, open purchase requisition report, etc.).
• Identifies, Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment as needed.
• Identifies and recognizes necessary tooling required using ANSI/ISO Tooling Nomenclature.
• Completes all related paperwork as required for the job.
• Delivers tools or equipment to workers when appropriate.
• Understands and follows Prince Industries quality certifications (i.e., ISO, QS) as relates to position.
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
• Frequently reviews all correspondence (i.e., voice mail messages, emails, faxes, mail) and responds to all requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains good housekeeping in assigned work area.
• Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by department supervisor.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence in a legible manner.
• Perform basic shop math calculations.
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within the company.
• Good computer skills to input data and perform PC inquiry.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within tooling field and related machine operation.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 1-3 years minimum related work experience or formal training

Physical Job Requirements

• Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
• Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.

Compensation

$20-24/hr
