Job summary

Tekni-Plex is seeking a manufacturing technician in Dublin, VA, to support extrusion and thermoforming operations. Responsibilities include blueprint reading, mold maintenance and troubleshooting, metrology, CAD concepts, and safe machine shop work.

Forklift operation and strict adherence to safety and labeling standards are required. The role offers an hourly pay range and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with thermoforming molds and associated tooling.
• Proficient in basic technical mathematics and measurement techniques.
• Familiar with metrology tools for quality checks.
• Basic CAD modeling knowledge for concept sketches.
• Experience with machine shop operations and tooling.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and GD&T; interpret diagrams.
• Maintain, assemble, and troubleshoot thermoforming molds from multiple suppliers.
• Perform technical mathematical calculations for tasks.
• Use measuring tools for quality inspections and accuracy checks.
• Have basic CAD modeling understanding for simple parts or concepts.
• Operate machine shop equipment such as turning, milling, drilling, or grinding.
• Follow safety procedures and LOTO practices at all times.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Ensure quality and proper labeling of finished products.

Pay Range

$22-$25 per hr

Responsibilities:

• Blueprint Reading: Basic knowledge of mechanical blueprints, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.
• Mold Handling: Experience in maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting of thermoforming molds from various suppliers.
• Technical Mathematics: Proficiency in mathematical calculations for technical tasks.
• Metrology & Inspection: Use of measurement tools for quality checks.
• CAD Concepts: Basic understanding of CAD modeling.
• Machine Shop Skills: Experience in turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and fastener/thread applications. (optional)
• Safety Procedures: Strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out practices.
• Forklift Operation: Safe handling and operation of forklifts.
• Quality & Labeling Fundamentals: Understanding of quality assurance and proper labeling practices.
