Job summary

Baker Group is seeking a Tool and Warehouse Coordinator to perform truck driving and warehousing duties, manage tool inventories, and coordinate with field supervisors for project tool lists. The role may require weekend/overtime hours as needed.

Candidates should have 1+ year in transportation or warehouse operations, plus proficiency in Outlook and Excel, and knowledge of HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical tools. OSHA 30 and a valid driver's license are expected within the first year.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year experience in transportation or warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with strong data entry skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tools/equipment used in HVAC, plumbing and electrical trades.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver products to in-state and out-of-state locations.
  • Load and unload trucks and organize shipments.
  • Sort and organize incoming packages by delivery site.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and perform basic vehicle/tool maintenance.
  • Manage tool allocation and check in/out using tool management software.
  • Prepare and distribute tool/equipment reports to field supervisors.
  • Coordinate with field supervisors to gather/prepare tools per project lists.
  • Review job costs and verify related documents for accuracy.
  • Assist with tool inspections to ensure safe working conditions.

Job description

PURPOSE

The Tool and Warehouse Coordinator will perform standard truck driver and warehousing duties, including transporting orders, loading and unloading trucks and organizing incoming packages. In addition, this position will be responsible for the tracking and safeguarding of inventory that flows through the tool crib and coordinating various activities regarding fleet vehicles. This role may involve flexibility with a work schedule that is subject to change, with an occasional need to work weekends and overtime, based on the needs of the business. Performs related work as required.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Safely transport and deliver a variety of products and materials to in and out of state locations
  • Load and unload trucks and orders for transport
  • Sort and organize incoming packages by designated delivery sites
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning, sweeping and organizing
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and vehicles by repairing tools, installing truck accessories and performing vehicle clean-outs
  • Manage tool allocation and check in and out using tool management software, ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures
  • Prepare and distribute tool and equipment reports to field supervisors
  • Assign tool numbers and label new tools in accordance with company standards
  • Organize tools and inventory
  • Coordinate with field supervisors to gather and prepare tools based on project-specific tool lists
  • Review job costs, scan and retrieve related documents to verify transaction accuracy
  • Assist with tool inspection to ensure they are in safe working condition prior to job site delivery
Minimum Education & Experience Required To Perform Essential Functions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in transportation or warehouse operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with strong data entry skills
  • Strong Knowledge of tools and equipment related to HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical trades
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Obtain OSHA 30 Hours within 1 st year of employment
  • Valid driver license with good driving record

ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY

  • Warehouse: Ability to operate a forklift vehicle
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and crouch
