Job summary

Baker Group in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Tool and Warehouse Coordinator to perform truck driving and warehousing duties, including transporting orders, loading and unloading, and organizing incoming packages. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in transportation or warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with strong data entry skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tools and equipment related to HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical trades.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver products and materials to in-state and out-of-state locations.
  • Load and unload trucks and orders for transport.
  • Sort and organize incoming packages by designated delivery sites.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organizing.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and vehicles; repair tools and perform vehicle clean-outs.
  • Manage tool allocation and check in/out using tool management software; ensure compliance with processes.
  • Prepare and distribute tool and equipment reports to field supervisors.
  • Assign tool numbers and label new tools per company standards.
  • Organize tools and inventory.
  • Coordinate with field supervisors to gather and prepare tools based on project tool lists.
  • Review job costs and scan/verify related documents for transaction accuracy.
  • Assist with tool inspection to ensure safe working condition prior to job site delivery.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Maintain warehouse equipment and vehicles by repairing tools, installing truck accessories and performing vehicle clean-outs
  • Manage tool allocation and check in and out using tool management software, ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures
  • Prepare and distribute tool and equipment reports to field supervisors
  • Assign tool numbers and label new tools in accordance with company standards
  • Organize tools and inventory
  • Coordinate with field supervisors to gather and prepare tools based on project-specific tool lists

Minimum Education & Experience Required To Perform Essential Functions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in transportation or warehouse operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with strong data entry skills
  • Strong Knowledge of tools and equipment related to HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical trades
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Obtain OSHA 30 Hours within 1 st year of employment
  • Valid driver license with good driving record
