Job summary

Flex-N-Gate, a leading automotive supplier, is seeking a skilled tool and die technician in Battle Creek, MI.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain single hit, transfer and progressive dies, read blueprints, verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers and dial indicators, and conduct test runs to ensure parts meet specs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with progressive and line dies.
• Journeyman Card preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including background check, drug screen and physical.

• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
• Keep production boards and assignment boards up to date.
• Work directly with apprentices to ensure they are meeting requirements.

• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary
• Keep production boards and assignment boards up to date
• work directly with apprentices to ensure they are meeting requirements

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with progressive and line dies
• Prefer candidate with a Journeyman Card
• Must supply tools usual to the trade
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background check, drug screen and physical
