Job Title: Tool and Die Maker
Pay: $25+ per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overview:

We are currently hiring a Tool and Die Maker for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity with a reputable manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with direct experience in tool and die fabrication—general machinists need not apply. The right candidate will be hands-on, precise, and eager to transition into a permanent role with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, repair, and modify complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to tight tolerances.
• Ensure all tooling supports high-quality stamped production processes.
• Support the design and layout of high-speed progressive dies.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues independently.
• Operate shop equipment with a high degree of skill and efficiency.
• Apply knowledge of tool steels, carbides, and advanced materials.
• Perform precision inspections using measuring instruments; apply SPC and geometric tolerancing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-first work environment.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on tool and die making experience.
• Proven ability to work to .0001” tolerances when required.
• Proficiency with shop math, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Strong knowledge of machine shop operations, materials, and best practices.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and using precision measurement tools.
