Job description

Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the production process. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure tooling meets exact specifications and supports efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD drawings to produce custom tools and dies.
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Inspect and test completed tools and dies for proper function and precision.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on existing tooling.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production staff to resolve tooling-related issues and optimize designs.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Tool and Die apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of machine tools and measurement instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and quality control practices.
