Job summary

Toyota Boshoku America in Jackson, TN is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to support tooling and production cells. You will set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machines, using MasterCam/SolidWorks/AutoCAD to create components and fixes for dies and fixtures.

The role emphasizes reducing downtime, improving productivity, and adhering to TPS and company procedures. Candidates should have 2–5 years CAD/CNC experience and a strong problem-solving mindset; some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience with CAD, CNC programming.
• Experience drawing & programming with MasterCam preferred.
• CNC, Machine shop, and Kaizen experience a plus.
• Stamping die repair experience a plus.
• Welding and fabrication a plus.
• Experience using an overhead crane a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support tool room activities on production equipment, facilities.
• Make components for repairs and improvements on stamping dies/fixtures/weld cells.
• Set up, program, and run CNC and manual machines in the tool room.
• Use MasterCam/SolidWorks/AutoCAD daily to draw/modify components.
• Machine uptime/downtime management.
• Heat treat new details to the required specs.
• Troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Document completion of all required processes in Asset Essentials system.
• Work with tooling die repair tech to ensure new details are installed properly.
• Reading technical drawings/ blueprints.
• Using measuring tools and gauges.
• Work with the Engineering department to improve processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

I.General Summary

Support the manufacturing areas with plant focus on minimizing down time, increasing productivity and maintain the overall Toyota Production System as well as company policies/procedures. Program/ Set up/ operate CNC machines to improve dies/ fixtures /weld cells and equipment preventative maintenance.

II.Essential Job Functions

• A.Support tool room activities on all production equipment, facilities.

• C.Set up, program, & run CNC and manual machines in the tool room to produce the needed components.
• D.Use MasterCam / Solid Works / AutoCAD daily to draw/ modify/program room to produce the needed components.
• E.Machine uptime/downtime management.
• F.Heat treat new details to the required specs on the new details.
• G.Troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
• H.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.

III.Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Machinist 1 certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
• Tool and Die certificate/diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:

• 2-5 years' experience with CAD, CNC programming required.
• Experience drawing & programming with MasterCam preferred.
