Job summary

An automotive parts manufacturer in Cartersville, Georgia, is seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, preferably in an automotive supplier manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include setting up and operating machine tools, maintaining production fixtures, and reading blueprints. This is an on-site role with an hourly rate starting at $30+, based on experience. A generous benefits package is also included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Tool Maker experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Experience in an automotive supplier manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to machine parts/support production.
• Build, repair, and maintain fixtures and tooling for production.
• Read and analyze blueprints and specifications for tools and assemblies.

Job description

We are seeking a Tool and Die Maker with at least 5 years of experience, preferably working in an automotive supplier manufacturing environment. The candidate must be eager to learn new skills and eager to contribute to a team-oriented environment. Must be highly organized, ambitious, driven, attentive to detail, efficient, proactive, and high-performing under pressure. EXPERIENCED Tool and Die Maker hourly rate of $30+ , but is based upon level of experience, 50 plus hours a week.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and problem solve
• Certified Journeyman Tool and Die Maker
• 5+ years of Tool Maker experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive-supplier experience a plus
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently as well as a member of the team

Job Duties

• Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, Bridgeport mill, to machine parts/support production
• Builds, repairs, and maintains fixtures and tooling used in the production of steel wheels/rims
• Reads and analyzes blueprints and specifications for fabrication of tools and assemblies
• Perform other miscellaneous jobs as requested by Manager
• Willingness to assist in any and all areas needed as directed by Manager
