TOLL CUSTODIAN BARRIER C/CHELYAN-WV PARKWAYS AUTHORITY-KANAWHA CO. is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain clean buildings and surrounding grounds at Barrier C/Chelyan, WV.

The role involves front office cleaning, restroom hygiene, kitchen upkeep, trash removal, window and surface care, and periodic outdoor duties in summer and winter. Starting salary ranges per hour based on experience, with no overtime eligibility.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Prior custodial experience desired.

Mansioni

• Perform duties involving cleaning and upkeep of building and surrounding grounds.
• Front office — clean desktop, empty trash, dust, sweep and mop.
• Kitchen — clean sink, tabletop, countertop, sweep/mop, stove, grill and microwave.
• Restrooms — clean sinks, lavatories, urinals, empty trash, sweep/mop, and stock paper towels/tissues/soap dispensers daily.
• Maintain windows and fixtures, clean toll booths and exterior areas as assigned.
• Attend to flags at plaza office.
• Keep all trash outside buildings and booths picked up.
• Complete supply requisition and delivery reports for toll maintenance.
• Winterize walks and stairs; keep snow and ice cleared.
• Summer duties include grass maintenance; winter duties include snow/ice removal.

Location of position: Barrier C/Chelyan, WV

Not Eligible for Overtime

Starting Salary: $17.4880-$21.7230 per hr. based on experience

Essential Functions of the Job

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform duties involving cleaning and upkeep of building and surrounding grounds.
• Front office - clean desktop, empty trash, dust, sweep and mop.
• Kitchen - clean sink, tabletop, countertop, sweep/mop, stove, grill and microwave.
• Restrooms - clean sinks, lavatories, urinals, empty trash, sweep/mop, and stock paper towels/tissues/soap dispensers daily.
• Remainder of building – sweep/mop, empty inside/outside trash cans, and clean brass face plates / kick plates on doors / water fountain / windows and mirrors.
• Attend to flags at plaza office.
• Keep all trash outside buildings and booths picked up.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Weekly or as needed:
a. Check and stock janitorial supplies.
b. Restock all toll booths garbage bags, window cleaner and paper towels.
c. Clean and stock outside restroom.
d. Clean windows around outside of building.
e. Complete supply requisition and delivery report for toll maintenance.
f. Keep all overhead vents and light fixtures clean.
g. Clean tunnel and tunnel steps.
h. Maintain heating and air conditioning room.
i. Clean refrigerator as needed.
j. Clean inside toll booths monthly - clean windows, wipe down / polish walls, remove and clean rubber mats, vacuum booth floors and door tracks.
k. Wash walls down in building.
l. Hose down parking lot.
m. Wash, wax and sweep plaza car.
n. Empty lane trash cans twice a week.

• Summer Months
a. Keep grass cut, trimmed and raked at facilities.
b. Other outside assigned summer duties.

• Winter Months
a. Keep walks and stairways clean of snow and ice.
b. Other outside assigned winter duties.
• High School Diploma desired / G.E.D required.• Prior custodial experience desired.
