Job summary

West Virginia Parkways Authority invites applications for a toll custodian position at Barrier C/Chelyan, WV. The role includes cleaning and maintaining the building and surrounding grounds, front-office duties, restrooms, kitchens and common areas, and attending to plaza office flags.

Starting salary ranges from $17.49 to $21.72 per hour based on experience; overtime is not eligible. Work is on-site in Kanawha County, with weekly janitorial duties and seasonal outdoor tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or desired.
• Custodial or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties involving cleaning and upkeep of building and surrounding grounds.
• Front office - clean desktop, empty trash, dust, sweep and mop.
• Kitchen - clean sink, tabletop, countertop, sweep/mop, stove, grill and microwave.
• Restrooms - clean sinks, lavatories, urinals, empty trash, sweep/mop, and stock paper towels/tissues/soap dispensers daily.
• Maintain trash outside buildings and booths; attend to flags at plaza office.
• Weekly: stock janitorial supplies and restock toll booths garbage bags, cleaner and paper towels.
• Winter: keep walks and stairs clear of snow and ice.

Education
