Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Toledo, OH is seeking an Experienced Superintendent to lead, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors and Turner trade labor on the project. You will ensure safety, maintain the schedule, uphold quality, and manage costs in partnership with Project leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus at least four years of related experience, with strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience training and/or experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, including Microsoft Office Suite and EH&S applications.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor.
• Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed and adherence to budget.
• Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns and trade labor.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work; develop recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers about field issues; investigate and resolve them.
• Manage billing processes related to Work In Place and monthly estimates of work completed.
