Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking an Early Education and Care team member to support daily care, documentation, and parent communication in a daycare setting.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience; certification in first aid is preferred. The team emphasizes developmentally appropriate activities, family engagement, and compliance with CACFP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of work experience in a related job discipline.
• First aid certification preferred, recognizing child abuse & recognition of common childhood diseases.

Responsibilities

• Communication - Work with team to complete clear documentation and written reports that facilitate communication with parents, co-workers and regulatory agents including daily reports, lesson plans, newsletters and professional development plans.
• Assessment - Assess each child's development using progress reports, screening instruments, direct observation, information from families and other stake holders.
• Compliance and Regulations - Maintain knowledge of and compliance with NAEYC code of ethics. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with city and state regulations and accreditation requirements governing early education and care programs. Accurately completes required CACFP documentation, follows rules for food service, and attends CACFP training as necessary.
• Improvement - Participate in improving organizational performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement activities, performing new procedures, collecting data and providing input to department discussions.
• Child Development - Collaborate with team to plan, implement and communicate age appropriate activities which facilitate the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of assigned children.
