Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a full-time Early Education and Care staff member to support daily operations, plan child-centered activities and maintain clear communication with families and regulators. The role emphasizes documentation, assessment, and ensuring compliant care in a daycare setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, and preferred first aid and child safety certifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Preferred: Certification in first aid, recognizing child abuse & recognition of common childhood diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Communication - Work with team to complete clear documentation and written reports that facilitate communication with parents, co-workers and regulatory agents including daily reports, lesson plans, newsletters and professional development plans.
  • Assessment - Assess each child's development using progress reports, screening instruments, direct observation, information from families and other stake holders.
  • Compliance and Regulations - Maintain knowledge of and compliance with NAEYC code of ethics. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with city and state regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Improvement - Participate in improving organizational performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement activities, collecting data and providing input to department discussions.
  • Child Development - Collaborate with team to plan, implement and communicate age appropriate activities which facilitate the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of assigned children.
