Job summary

The Learning Experience – Newark, DE is seeking a caring and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. You will create a nurturing classroom and implement our L.E.A.P. Curriculum to support language and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• TECE 1 and TECE 2 are required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous toddler/daycare/preschool experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills are essential.
• Patient, dependable and nurturing with a team mindset.
• Must meet Delaware childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, engaging Toddler classroom.
• Implement L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Support language, movement, independence and social-emotional development.
• Engage children through art, music, sensory play, and hands-on learning.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play and transitions.
• Maintain routines and positive guidance in the classroom.
• Observe development and communicate with families.
