Job summary

Mile High Early Learning is seeking Infant and Toddler Teachers for the Blossom House and Tamera M. Sparks centers in Denver. You will co-lead a classroom of eight infants or toddlers and partner with a teaching team to personalize the curriculum to each child’s needs.

Qualifications

  • AA or BA in ECE or Child Development or equivalent.
  • BA/MA in unrelated field with a current Teaching License in ElEd/ECE/SpEd.
  • CDA I/T or PDIS Level II with ECE credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead a classroom of eight infant or toddlers.
  • Work closely with teaching team to individualize curriculum for children.
  • Support children’s social and emotional needs.
  • Complete developmental assessments and screenings.
  • Complete home visits twice per year and attend parent–teacher conferences.
  • Work as a team to conduct parent/teacher conferences and home visits.
  • Encourage parental involvement in the classroom.
  • Create a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Supervise children’s safety in care.
  • Communicate with coworkers and families warmly and professionally.

Job description

Salary: $23.20 - $27.88/ hour (depending on position and qualifications)

Mile High Early Learning has opening for a Toddler Teachers at our Blossom House, and Tamera M. Sparks center locations in Denver.

Requirements
  • AA or BA in ECE or Child Development OR
  • BA/MA in an unrelated field with a current Teaching License with an endorsement in ElEd, ECE or SpEd.
  • CDA I/T (Child Development Associates) OR
  • PDIS Level II (with ECE 111 or EQIT Cert., ECE 101 and 103)
  • Ability to work full time work week, Monday through Friday, occasional evening meetings
Other preferred qualifications;
  • Bilingual - Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, or Somali (a plus)
  • Experience with the Montessori philosophy (a plus)
