Job summary

Tri-County Head Start in Durango is seeking a Teacher Aide to create a safe, nurturing learning environment for children ages one through five. You will lead daily routines and supervise activities while supporting social and emotional development.

The role includes substituting in other classrooms as needed, with full-time hours from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, 52 weeks a year. A $500 hiring bonus is offered after six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to obtain a Child Development Associate Credential within the first year of hire; training support provided.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
• Lead daily classroom routines.
• Supervise and engage children.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs.
• Teacher Aide will cover a base classroom and substitute in other classrooms as needed.
