Job summary

Future Stars Academy in Lomita, CA is seeking a FULL-TIME experienced Toddler Class Teacher to join our preschool team from about 9am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidates have 12 ECE units including Infant/Toddler and center-based toddler experience.

You will develop engaging activities, collaborate with staff, monitor children, and ensure compliance with Title 22 licensing. Compensation starts at $21 per hour and is negotiable based on units and experience.

Qualifications

• 12 ECE units including Infant/Toddler preferred; willing to complete required units.
• Center-based experience with a Toddler or 2-year-old classroom.
• Familiarity with Title 22 licensing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a constructive rapport with children and parents.
• Create activities/curriculum that are fun and educational for the children.
• Collaborate with other teachers to foster an inviting, nurturing environment.
• Deliver reports on potential concerns about students to management as needed.
• Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, lunch and rest times.
• Diapering/potty training/feeding as needed.
• Follow Licensing/Title 22 regulations.

Future Stars Academy is an established Infant Center/ Preschool. Our Lomita location is seeking a FULL-TIME experienced Toddler Class Teacher to work from approximately 9am - 6pm, Monday to Friday. Candidates SHOULD have 12 ECE units including Infant/ Toddler class. However, we are willing to work with the right candidate who may need to complete this course. Candidate should have center based experience with a Toddler or 2-Year-Old classroom. Will also consider some nannying and babysitting experience. Must be familiar with Title 22 Licensing protocols. Willing to assist the right candidate in completing their ECE units.

Teachers are responsible for monitoring and caregiving for children in our Toddler program. If you love working with kids and have previous experience in an early learning environment, we are looking for candidates with outgoing personalities, great communication skills, tons of energy, and a great attitude. Our Center has very low staff turnover, and we're looking for a great addition to the team!

Job duties include:
