Job description

Are you a passionate child care professional with a deep-rooted heartfelt desire to impact and influence kids looking for your next challenge?

Are you looking for a child care environment that actually cares about child development as much as they ‘say’ they do and as much as you do?

Would you like to work in an atmosphere where the staff is valued and supported just as much as the children (customers)?

Do you desire to have the freedom and flexibility to build your own, wonderful weekly lesson plans and curriculum specific to your strengths and the needs of the group of children in your care?

Are you ready to be challenged to be your very best and have options to move into Lead or Supervisor positions in an organization that has a proven track record of promoting from within the team?

At A Step Ahead Child Care Centers, we are deeply passionate about child development and believe the ONLY path to quality child care, is quality teaching staff like YOU!

As part of your position (which you probably already know.. :D) you will spend your days nurturing and encouraging the children in your care, which may include Toddlers or Older Infants

As part of the role, you will have the responsibility to:

• Plan lessons that are inspired by the interests and developmental needs of the children in your classroom.
• Get to know the children on their level, giving guidance, support, words of encouragement, and smiles.

• View every day as an opportunity to inspire creativity, imagination and kindness in your students.

A Step Ahead Child Care Center is on a mission to provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment for each and every infant, toddler and preschool child in our care, and we need you!

We have some GREAT benefits in addition to the wage that you will receive! As a full-time teacher, you will also receive:

• Paid training that enhances your skills. Our teachers not only teach but are also eager to learn themselves.
• A flexible schedule that focuses on your desired routine. This includes flexible schedules and paid holidays.
• Minimum 1 week paid vacation and up to 4 weeks with continued service
• Discounted child care for your littles.
• Supplemental Accident & Hospital confinement insurance (maternity included)
• Dental
• Short-term Disability (maternity included)
• TeleMED services allowing staff to teleconference with doctors for common ailments versus going to hospital / clinic
• Recognition, rewards and respect. We believe that early childhood development is a treasured calling, and its practitioners (YOU!) deserve to be treated as treasures.
• The opportunity for growth and advancement. To achieve our mission, we’re growing, and we want you to grow with us. We coach our teachers to be leaders, and we promote our leaders from within.
