Job summary

Shepherd's Flock Preschool in Arlington Heights is hiring a part-time Toddler Teacher, $22.50/hour, Monday through Friday, 3:00–6:00 p.m. You'll lead a classroom of infants and toddlers on the campus of The Lutheran Home, where the preschool's intergenerational programming brings young children and older adults together.

As a Toddler Teacher, you'll plan and lead daily activities, build real relationships with families, and create a safe, engaging space where toddlers can learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with coursework in Growth and Development
• Comfortable caring for infants and toddlers
• Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification, completed or willing to obtain after hire
• Infant Toddler Level 2 certification, completed or willing to obtain after hire

Responsibilities

• Deliver a well-rounded, age-appropriate educational experience

Required:

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including coursework in Human Growth and Development or Lifespan Development
• Comfortable caring for infants and toddlers
• Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification, completed or willing to obtain after hire
• Infant Toddler Level 2 certification, completed or willing to obtain after hire

Preferred

• 1–3 years of early childhood education experience

You'll be helping infants and toddlers learn and grow at Shepherd's Flock Preschool, part of The Lutheran Home community in Arlington Heights.
