Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience working with young children in licensed childcare or preschool preferred.
• Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
• Develops positive relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning®.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Family Communication: Communicate progress and daily activities with families.
• Health and Safety: Supervise activities ensuring health standards and licensing compliance.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills.
• Assessment: Observe, assess, and document children's learning to share insights with families.
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers.
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance strategies for social-emotional growth.

Education

High School Diploma, Early Childhood Education preferred

CDA preferred

2+ years of preschool experience
