Job summary

The Goddard School of Doylestown on Farm Lane in Bucks County is seeking an Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our toddler classroom team. You’ll work with a Lead Teacher to support children ages 1–3 as they take their first words, friendships, and big steps toward independence.

No nights, no weekends, no holidays. We offer competitive pay ($16–$18/hour) based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development to help you grow in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education a plus.
• Previous experience with toddlers or young children in licensed childcare setting preferred.
• Genuine patience, warmth and empathy for toddlers and families.
• Comfortable with all aspects of toddler care including diapering and feeding routines.
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
• Basic understanding of toddler development milestones.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in caring for children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging activities that support toddler growth.
• Support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Help toddlers navigate milestones including language development and independence.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean learning environment.
• Provide individualized attention, supervision and nurturing care.
• Communicate with families daily about milestones and progress.
• Support routine toddler care tasks including meals, diapering and rest routines.
• Adhere to health, safety and licensing guidelines.
