Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• CDA preferred
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in licensed setting preferred
• Has state-required pre-service training
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom.
• Family Communication: Maintain open communication with families about child progress.
• Health and Safety: Supervise activities and uphold safety standards and licensing regs.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills.
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe and document children's learning and share insights with families.
• Team Collaboration: Support other teachers and staff to foster a collaborative environment.
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance for social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.

Education

High school diploma required

Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred

Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred

1-2 years of experience with young children

State-required pre-service training completed

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
