Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Summary

We're seeking a qualified, dependable, professional individual to work with our toddler classroom. We are a smaller facility, that prides ourselves on high quality care and lower class sizes. We seek an experienced lead to work with children ages 12-24 months. Our program has been in operation for fifteen years, and we are looking to expand. Our teachers have flexibility to plan and be creative! We do not follow VDOE curriculum. Our lead staff can choose to work a 4 or 5 day schedule, offering a good work-life balance with a long weekend once a month.

Duties

Responsibilities include:

• Providing excellent care and supervision
• Exhibiting excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Planning and leading teacher and student activities that promote growth and stimulation
• Supervising playground activities
• Creating age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Supporting self-help skills development

Requirements

Applicants must have at least one year of experience working with children aged birth to five. A background check is required prior to hire, and VA Preservice Training must be completed within 90 days of hire. Two work-related references are also required before employment.
