Job summary

Attleboro Norton YMCA in Attleboro, MA is looking for a Preschool Assistant to support the development and execution of activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth for enrolled children. Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field with 3 ECE credits.
• Must meet Massachusetts EEC criteria and QRIS level 2 standards.
• At least one year teaching experience or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing activities that promote development.
• Maintain progress records for each child for planning and compliance.
• Plan weekly activities with Lead Teacher and classroom staff.
• Supervise volunteers as needed and ensure safety of the classroom.
• Attend staff meetings and fulfill professional development requirements.
• Uphold YMCA policies and promote the YMCA values.
