Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience with infants or young children in licensed childcare preferred.
• Deep empathy, patience and compassion for infants and families.
• Works independently and collaborates with classroom team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Infant Teacher with developmentally appropriate activities for infants and young toddlers.
• Support each infant's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through nurturing caregiving.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean infant environment meeting health standards.
• Safely lift and transfer infants into and out of cribs.
• Supervise and provide individualized care to infants in your room.
• Communicate with parents daily about feeding, sleep, milestones and activities.
• Assist routine caregiving tasks like feeding, diapering and napping.
