Job summary

Christ Church Day Care Inc in Corning, NY is seeking a warm, energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to support toddler growth and daily activities in a caring, faith-inspired environment.

You will work with the lead teacher to implement lessons, supervise play, support social and emotional development, and communicate with families, while following safety and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or AAS in Early Childhood Education required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with toddlers/young children.
• Pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities.
• Supervise toddlers during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety.
• Support social, emotional, and cognitive development through positive interactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents about daily activities and child progress.
• Follow childcare regulations and health and safety protocols.

Christ Church Day Care Inc is looking for a warm, energetic, and nurturing Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team in Corning, NY! Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities for toddlers
• Supervise and engage toddlers during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
• Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through positive interactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
• Follow all childcare regulations, health, and safety protocols
• Assist with diapering, potty training, and other personal care routines as needed

Requirements:

• Child Development Associates Credential (CDA), AAS in Early Childhood or a related field; a minimum of 12 credits in Early Childhood Education preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or educational setting
• Genuine passion for early childhood education, child development and developmentally appropriate practice
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare licensing requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable, dependable, and a true team player
