Job summary

United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania seeks a Tocqueville Development Officer to cultivate, solicit, and steward major and planned gifts. You will manage a portfolio of 170–185 Tocqueville members and prospects, building relationships and guiding gift strategies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in nonprofit fundraising, including 3+ years in major gifts. Planned giving experience is preferred, with salary range $67,000–$73,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years in nonprofit fundraising.
• At least 3 years in major gifts identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition.
• Experience with planned giving instruments preferred (3–5 years).

Responsibilities

• Oversee retention, growth and engagement of Tocqueville Society members.
• Manage relationship development and direct gift solicitation for 170–185 prospects.
• Develop and implement strategies for significant and deferred gifts through planned giving.
