Job summary

Saver Group in Kentucky is seeking a Tobacco Clerk responsible for cashiering, stocking, and maintaining store cleanliness while delivering friendly, accurate service.

You will handle checkout, help customers, ensure tobacco products are age-verified, and assist in keeping shelves neat; flexibility to work various shifts is valued.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and willingness to deal with people daily.
• Ability to count money and make accurate change.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and arrive to work on time.
• Ability to clean and straighten product when no customers need assisting.
• Flexibility in schedules; seven days a week operation with weekend and evening hours.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, frequently bend, lift, squat, lean, and reach.
• Must pass a background check; a drug test is required for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards including, but not limited to, accurate handling/counting of cash, debit cards, credit cards, coupons and checks.
• Follows all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies.
• Keep Tobacco area neat and presentable, including stocking snacks and drinks, sweeping, cleaning counters, changing trash. May include cleaning outside as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Check the identification of all customers attempting to purchase tobacco products. Customers must be 21 years of age or older.

Job Summary
