Bunzl Distribution in St. Louis, MO is seeking a contract Logistics Specialist to oversee the flow of goods within the supply chain. You will coordinate logistics operations, optimize processes, and ensure timely delivery while leveraging a Transportation Management System (TMS).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in logistics coordination and familiarity with supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

Use and operate a Transportation Management System (TMS) to plan, execute, and track shipments.
Coordinate with carriers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to arrange transportation.
Monitor and update TMS with carrier performance and transportation metrics.
Track shipments, monitor costs, and provide updates to stakeholders.
Resolve issues or delays related to transportation within the TMS and implement corrective actions.
Identify bottlenecks and implement best practices to improve logistics efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.
Support freight bill pay and audit processes.
