Job summary

Toyota Manufacturing in Troy, Missouri is seeking a Skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and inspections across production and facilities. You will test, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, including PLCs and robotics, and fabricate components for repairs and modifications.

The role requires associate degree or 3+ years hands-on experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and flexibility to work rotating

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 3+ years hands-on industrial equipment maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with PLCs and high-voltage systems.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, sensors, and motor control.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work all shifts including overtime, holidays, weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on equipment and plant facilities.
  • Test and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and components.
  • Fabricate and machine parts for repairs and modifications.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, CNCs, robotics, and other electronics.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records; support safety and productivity goals.

Who we’re looking for

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Missouri is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on various types of equipment, which helps to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

What we offer
  • Starting hourly rate of $35.90 - $47.95
  • $1.50/HR shift premium (for PM Shift and Weekend Shift)
  • Hiring for the following shifts only:
  • Shift hours for Monday through Thursday: 8:00 pm - 6:30 am
  • Shift hours for Friday through Sunday: 6:00 pm - 6:30 am
  • Quarterly attendance bonus
What you’ll be doing
  • Skilled Equipment Maintenance Technicians support the production, quality, cost, and safety goals of the manufacturing operation and plant facilities. All skilled personnel are responsible for preventive maintenance, process and equipment improvements, and effective troubleshooting.
  • Test and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment or systems (Involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.)
  • Fabricate and machine components to repair jigs, fixtures, and parts (metal, plastic, and wood) for projects, equipment repair, maintenance work orders, and machine modifications
  • Write, program, troubleshoot, modify, and/or repair programmable logic controllers, CNC machines, robotics, and other electronic equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical equipment and machine components
  • Perform basic administrative skills including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods
  • Ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity
What you bring
  • Education & experience: An associate’s degree in Industrial Automation or a related field OR 3+ years of hands‑on industrial equipment maintenance experience.
  • Similar military hands‑on experience that includes some electrical principles while installing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting equipment on a regular basis.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Technical knowledge and hands‑on experience in industrial electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs and high‑voltage (480V+) systems; conveyor systems with belt and chain maintenance; hydraulics and pneumatics; motion and motor control; industrial sensors and photo eyes; and electrical components such as relays and power supplies.
  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Available to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns
