The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to keep inventory shortages at or below store goals and maximize store sales by receiving and shipping freight within a timely manner. The TM Receiver interacts with customers and Team Members, supports selling initiatives, and performs assigned tasks, all while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. Additionally, the TM Receiver promotes a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, adhering to Tractor Supply Company safety training and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

It is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, capable of fulfilling all the following requirements.

1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
2. Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
3. Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
   • Greet the Customer.
   • Uncover Customer Needs & Wants.
   • Recommend Product Solutions.
   • Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
4. The TM Receiver performs a combination of duties during 95% of their day, including but not limited to:
   • Processing inbound and outbound freight.
   • Maintaining accurate inventory control and adhering to loss prevention standards.
   • Merchandise recovery and participating in mandatory freight processes.
   • Keeping a clean, organized, and safe work area.
   • Maintaining, recovering, stocking, and tagging assigned areas and merchandise outside the store.
   • Operating cash register/computer following established cash handling procedures.
   • Ensuring a Legendary shopping experience for customers.
   • Rotating and disposing of dated products.
   • Assembling merchandise.
   • Operating Forklift and Cardboard Baler.
   • Ensuring the safety and care of birds, including sanitizing poultry tanks and caring for birds as required.
   • Completing all related documentation and obtaining necessary licenses or certifications.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required. Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Must be 18+ and have a valid driver’s license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential regardless of education level.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ethical issue resolution with minimal conflict.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor environment with moderate noise; outdoor work possible in adverse weather.
• Shifts generally no less than 4 hours, potentially exceeding 8 hours.
• Hard surface floors, adequate lighting and temperature.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• This position is non-sedentary; requires physical stamina and ability to move quickly and safely.
• Must be able to operate store equipment and handle merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and movement throughout the store.
