Job summary

St. Rose of Lima School in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a part-time TK Teacher's Aide to support the Transitional Kindergarten classroom. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 1:45 PM, for 30 hours per week, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

You will assist with lessons, supervise students, prepare learning materials, and help with social-emotional development while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. A high school diploma and Catholic values are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the TK teacher with daily lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Support students during academic, social, and play-based activities.
• Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom supplies.
• Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, recess, and field trips.
• Promote positive behavior and supervise social-emotional development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Observe student behavior and report concerns to the teacher.
• Perform basic clerical duties and protect confidentiality.
