The ELA teacher oversees students’ English language and literacy development. Planning instruction based on the California standards for English Language Arts and English Language Development, and using adopted materials (Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum), the teacher delivers instruction to multiple classes of students, monitors progress using formative assessment, and differentiates accordingly. The English Language Arts teacher partners with French‑speaking colleagues and with families to promote the success of each child.
