Background on ECA

We provide a non-traditional, internet-based, individualized self-paced learning environment in southern California. Teachers are remotely based, meeting with students and families virtually or in-person based on location. Each student has one supervising teacher for personalized learning.

Responsibilities of Supervising Teachers
  1. Coordinate educational programs for assigned students.
  2. Ensure all students have a signed master agreement and are enrolled in appropriate courses.
  3. Distribute curriculum and monitor student schedules and progress.
  4. Assign work aligned with standards and maintain accurate records.
  5. Monitor engagement, communicate with students and parents, and meet face-to-face as required.
  6. Manage attendance, assessments, and compliance deadlines.
  7. Collaborate with support teams and provide live instruction as assigned.
  8. Use technology for teaching, communication, and curriculum management.
  9. Assist with coursework selection, scheduling, and student progress tracking.
  10. Maintain accurate grades and transcripts, and support students in creating ILPs.
  11. Participate in school activities and stay current with educational research and resources.
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude, growth mindset, and strong time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, communicate effectively, and demonstrate leadership.
  • Proficiency with current technology and instructional tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with students aged 4-21.
Employment Requirements
  • Valid California teaching credential.
  • Background clearance (LiveScan).
  • Proof of TB test within the last 60 days, updated every four years.
