Job Summary

Standard Solar is seeking an experienced Title Specialist. This individual will ensure new Title Insurance orders are processed based on product, underwriter, state specific, ensuring adherence to Agency timelines. Performs a variety of duties, both clerical and technical.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Draft, analyze, redline, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, power purchase agreements, leases, EPC agreements and other agreements and associated exhibits as required.
  • Draft alternate language and modify template contracts.
  • Proactive management of transactions in order to minimize delay in execution of documents and closing.
  • Work with various internal departments as well as external organizations to obtain title related documents or obtain necessary information needed to generate and process a title insurance order.
  • Assist in the preparation and/or revision of the preliminary title report and/or final title policy.
  • Ensures all revisions, updates, correspondence, etc. are maintained daily.
  • Provide operational knowledge and support to ensure adherence to all underwriting and regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Perform other administrative duties supporting the team including but not limited to: opening title orders, monitor phones, door and email, filing, assistance in the preparation and delivery of the preliminary title commitments and/or final title policies and any revisions as they relate to both, logging and tracking.
  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines with high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in client service in a high-growth business environment.
  • Associate’s degree in business.
  • Collegial approach, but able to work independently.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Maryland bar.
  • Must successfully pass background check and pre-employment drug testing.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Interfaces with customers, vendors and the public.

Physical Demands

Physical working conditions may involve the following: Lifting up to 25 pounds. Extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, reaching and/or bending. Extended periods of reading fine print on a computer or in paper-based format. Traveling over extended periods of time.
