Job summary

Public Schools of Petoskey - Central Elementary in Petoskey, MI is seeking an Academic Aide to support students in the Title IA/31A program. Primary duties include implementing targeted interventions and tracking progress under teacher direction.

The role is a paraprofessional, non-tenured position with 182 days of work per school year. Starting pay is $18.08/hour with benefits including health, vision, dental insurances and retirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or 60 hours from an approved college, required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Communicate effectively with students and adults to support progress.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain accurate records and data for students.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a culture of caring and a safe learning environment.
• Work with students in the Title IA/31A program under supervision.
• Administer targeted assessments to monitor progress in title IA/31A.
• Maintain records and prepare progress reports as required by district policy.
• Attend professional development programs and building/ district meetings.
• Perform other duties related to Title IA/31A as assigned.
