Job summary

Jimmie Ray Elementary in Waxahachie, Texas is seeking a Title I Tutor/Instructional Aide to support interventions, preparation, and classroom activities under the supervision of the campus Principal.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, Paraprofessional Aide Certification (or ability to obtain), and experience with students. Reports to the Campus Principal; part-time; pay is $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with students; experience may be in churches, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers or similar settings.
• Paraprofessional Aide Certification is required (can be obtained after employment).
• Ability to organize, detail oriented, and able to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interventions to students under supervision to address identified gaps.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Conduct instructional exercises with individuals or small groups.
• Assist in classroom management.
• Assist with parental involvement and communication as deemed by supervisor.
• Maintain neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory and reports.
