Job Description

Purpose: To supplement reading and/or math instruction for academically at‑risk students in grades K–8.

Qualifications:

• Ability to relate to children with special needs; ability to provide instructional activities in collaboration with teachers.
• Some college training preferable.
• Minimum education requirements: 48 semester hours including core courses with overall GPA 2.5 or higher, or Associate degree or higher with overall GPA 2.5 or higher, or WorkKeys testing scores Math (min 4), Reading (min 4), Writing (min 3).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide supplemental instruction to academically at‑risk students in grades K–8 to reinforce reading and/or math skills.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to prepare lessons, materials, and activities that supplement classroom instruction.
• Adhere to federal guidelines regarding non‑instructional assignments/duties.
• Attend Title I staff meetings and professional development sessions.
