Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or 60 quarter/48 semester hours or have passed the para pro praxis test.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under the supervising teacher to support classroom objectives.
• Administers assignments, tests, and homework to support teachers in the instructional process.
• Assists students individually or in small groups with lessons and activities to reinforce learning and meet standards.
• Communicates with teachers and/or parents to discuss progress and objectives.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans under supervision to reinforce concepts.
• Maintains classroom equipment, space, and records to ensure safety and availability.
• Monitors students in various settings to provide a safe learning environment.
• Reports observations to instructional/administrative staff as needed.
• Supports teachers and staff in curriculum implementation and teaching methods.
• Attends meetings and trainings to stay informed about job functions.
• Performs related duties to ensure efficient operations.
