Qualifications

• High School Diploma from an accredited institution
• 48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or university or equivalent
• Pass NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics after hire
• Educational Aide II Certificate or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests
• Facilitate learning with small groups of students
• Facilitate instructional exercises as directed
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom
• Orient and assist substitute teachers
• Attend staff development and faculty meetings
• Help maintain student records and required reports
• Report to work daily as scheduled
• Perform other duties as assigned
