Spring Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Aide for the 2026-2027 school year at the Early College Academy in Houston, TX. The role supports students with special needs under the supervision of the campus principal.

Hours: 187 days per year; starting immediately. Salary ranges from $22,066 to $25,971 with a Pay Grade 2, non-exempt status. Requires HS diploma, 48 college hours, and possible NCLB testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma from an accredited institution.
• At least 48 college hours from an accredited college or university, or equivalent.
• Pass the NCLB test in Reading, Writing and Mathematics if required.
• Educational Aide II Certificate or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparation of instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist teacher in adapting instruction to support student objectives.
• Maintain records/reports as required by laws/regulations.
• Assist in maintaining order and discipline in classroom.
• Provide individual and small group instruction.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
