Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support teachers in implementing instructional programs and managing classrooms. Qualifications include at least 48 college hours or a high school diploma with a district assessment, plus Educational Aide Certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification required.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Ability to work with children and communicate with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to TEA and district policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing instructional programs.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist in classroom management and keep daily schedules.
• Assist in record keeping and clerical duties.
• Assist teachers in the computer lab and communicate with parents.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce skills.
