Qualifications

• Five (5) years of effective classroom teaching experience
• Above average ability to communicate and work well with others
• Thorough knowledge of Indiana Academic Math and Reading/Language Arts Standards
• Proven leadership ability
• Understanding of effective Math and Reading/Language Arts curriculum and instructional practices
• Knowledge of collaborative instructional model
• Participation in required professional development, including Title I
• K-5 licensing, Highly Qualified

Responsibilities

• Provides intervention support 80% of the school day to Title I identified students in reading, language arts, and math
• Collaborates with Title I Team and Principal to place orders for supplies and materials
• Assists in implementation of curriculum and instruction and shares proven strategies
• Leads literacy and math initiatives across the school community
• Engages families in reading and math literacy and participates in data meetings
