Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas Paraprofessional Certificate or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Must meet one of the following NCLB criteria: an Associate's degree, 60 college credits, or successful completion of a basic written exam.

Responsibilities

• Contact parents in a systematic manner with positive information about the school.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Assist in communicating a positive image of the school.
• Share school communications with neighborhood apartment managers and businesses to improve community relations.
• Coordinate translation of campus documents into Spanish for distribution to parents/guardians who do not read English.
• Assist teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals in working with parents and students as needed.
• Serve as a member of the Multicultural Committee and make recommendations.
