Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a Title I Parent Liaison to assist school personnel with parent and community relations and to facilitate achievement of school goals through effective communication.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, valid Texas Paraprofessional Certificate or eligibility, and one of: an Associate's degree, 60 college credits, or passing a basic written exam. Spanish skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas Paraprofessional Certificate or eligible to obtain upon hire.
• Must meet one of three: Associate's degree or 60 credits OR pass the basic written exam.

Responsibilities

• Contact parents in a systematic, positive manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Promote a positive image of the school.
• Coordinate translation of campus documents into Spanish.
• Assist teachers and staff in communicating with parents.
• Support Multicultural Committee activities.
