Elementary Title I Interventionists

Qualifications
  • MA Certification and SEI Endorsement required
  • Reading Specialist certification preferred
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Classroom teaching experience preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for data‑driven instruction
  • Collaborative work style paired with the ability to take initiative
Job Responsibilities
  • Reviews and analyzes benchmark assessment data; if necessary, conducts drill‑down assessments of students with skill gaps; confers with teachers and administrators. Utilizes all of these inputs to identify gaps & create groups for small group, targeted literacy or math intervention
  • Plans for and implements targeted literacy or math interventions with each identified small group and, as time allows, with individuals requiring more intensive support. Aligns remedial instruction with grade‑level curriculum and integrated services where possible
  • Progress monitors all students receiving interventions, shifting focus of intervention/regrouping/exiting students from intervention when and as data indicates the need. Records progress monitoring data, reviewing it on periodic basis with building administrators
  • Supports general education teachers by sharing resources and strategies to support differentiated and scaffolded literacy instruction
  • Completes Title I Time & Effort forms; prepares Title I reports; helps prepare for attends Title I Parent Night
  • Attends SST meetings as needed; compiles information for Special Education referrals when necessary
  • Meets regularly with Director of Curriculum & Instruction and other Title I interventionists
  • Undertakes instructional and other duties as required by the building principal
