The position works with teachers to differentiate instruction, monitor progress, and provide professional development. Grants fund the role through the school year and a 187-day calendar may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for Title I Intervention Specialist.
• Valid Texas teacher’s certification required.
• 3 years of classroom experience.
• Reading/Math Specialist certification preferred.
• Valid Texas Bilingual/ESL – Spanish certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily focused instruction in small group math or literacy settings.
• Assist the classroom teacher with progress monitoring records and SSP data.
• Use assessments to diagnose needs and monitor progress daily.
• Participate in PLCs and grade level meetings for intervention planning.
• Attend Title I professional developments and district meetings.
• Collaborate with Curriculum and Instruction Coordinators and Title I Academic Specialists.
• Meet regularly with administration to report progress.
• Pursue life-long learning and professional growth.
• Uphold school rules and policies.
• Perform other duties to improve student achievement.
